You would be surprised how many people with HR and insurance backgrounds, or are just starting their careers, that don't know how to navigate the CEBS program and/or further their employee benefits career path. Karen Browne-Fleck, CEBS, Fellow-ISCEBS
I am a Senior Benefits Specialist where I assist the pilots in the Delta MEC in Atlanta, after having worked for 8+ years in the US Airways MEC office in Pittsburgh.  I received my Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. degree in Human Resources Management from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, receiving both degrees summa cum laude.  Prior to joining ALPA, I was Manager of Employee Benefits at Forbes Health System, a 2,500-employee, multiple-facility health care system.  Some of my other roles include Manager of Personnel and Benefits for a large Pittsburgh law firm, a Human Resources Manager in the computer consulting industry and as an administrator in the aviation sales industry.  I also hold the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications and completed the Personal Financial Planning certification in 2002.  I have previously served as a Board Member in the Georgia Chapter of the ISCEBS. Lisa Burkard, CEBS, Former Past President and Current Board Member, Georgia Chapter of ISCEBS
I have nearly 30 years of industry experience encompassing insurance underwriting, benefits consulting and extensive international corporate experience, bringing a unique blend of skills and expertise. At present I am Managing Director of Spectrum Group Consulting, an independent consulting firm specializing in international benefits and global mobility. As the former Director of International Compensation, Benefits and Global Mobility for UPS, I understand the intricacies of working for a large corporation and the associated demands and expectations. I have served on numerous boards and was past president of the Georgia chapter ISCEBS.  I hold a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance from University of Georgia's Terry School of Business and an MBA in Risk Management & Insurance from Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business. My other certifications include Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS). Sandra Seay CEBS - Former Membership Committee Member
I have been in employee benefits for over 15 years in staff-level Analyst positions in Healthcare, Consulting and Financial Services industries.  My professional career highlights include Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Information Technology, Human Resources, Employee Benefits Administration/Management, and Communications. Ellen Stortz, CEBS, ISCEBS Fellow - Past President and Current Board Member, Georgia Chapter of ISCEBS
I have over 20 years’ experience in Employee Benefits and Human Resources Management in a variety of industries including homebuilding, staffing, healthcare, oil & gas and manufacturing.  I am skilled at setting up HR Processes and designing benefit packages that align with company goals as well as understanding employment law and its impact on business practices. I am currently Vice President of Human Resources for Smith Douglas Homes and am also very active with Atlanta SHRM.  My other certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville. Emily Talley, CEBS - Former Member-at-Large and Membership Chair, Georgia Chapter of ISCEBS
I have over 14 years of progressive responsibility in Human Resources and Benefits Management, and currently serve as Director of Benefits for Tanner Health System – a nonprofit regional health system serving a nine-county area of west Georgia and east Alabama.  In this role, in this role, I am responsible for development and administration of Health & Welfare and retirement programs for over 2,800 employees. I have had the opportunity to share my expertise through presenting at the Georgia ISCEBS chapter, other local venues and national conferences as well as through teaching Human Resources Management courses at the University of West Georgia. My other certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA), Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). I hold an MBA from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts. from the College of William and Mary.
